Artist Statement(s)
Pub Version
I make playful contemporary art. The form changes, but there’s usually a layer of absurdity hiding something more serious underneath. If it sparks curiosity, confusion, unease or laughter - then I’ve done my job.
Gallery Version
Holding a BAFTA for comedy writing and a degree in Contemporary Art, Dan Berg uses humour and absurdity to explore cultural critique, modern masculinity and human connection. Working across digital media, mixed media, events and found objects, his practice creates playful, accessible works that invite laughter, pause and reflection.
